Your congregation is full of drama queens! This can end in your favor if you get a good lawyer and keep your wits about you. The cudstody agreement can prohibit the child's mother from having her baptized before age 18. Do keep meticulous records on the behavior of your wife and in-laws, while conducting yourself with the utmost decorum. Slow and steady wins the race.

The 79 year old elder officiating at my mother's funeral said "We're all going to die." Apparently some have given up on the fantasy.

this morning i arrived on my bicycle at the local starbucks early, before the intensity of the texas sun boiled to full blaze rendering me a soggy, wrung out mess.. i took up my perch on the outdoor patio in the shade, eager to work on my book of short stories.
this will be my 3rd book and i’ve been enjoying the process daily.. .

so ... i don't know if any of this is even of interest any more, i know i'm getting kinda bored with it :) so many other more interesting stories out there.
anyway, limped my way through 17 years being a jw until now.

Is he just an old blow hard? All bark and no bite? Just trying to get a sense of how he really is...not to say that his behavior hasn't been abusive...It has and he needs to check himself. You have a right to choose your own path, whether it is a spiritual one or not, and whether he likes it or not. I like the idea of calmly stating that you no longer consider yourself one of JWs, for personal reasons. You don't need any help from the elders and you won't accept any sheperding calls. For personal reasons. You owe no one any explanation. Period. No need for raised voices; your decision has been made. Therapy will give you tools to handle your marital situation in the way that's best for you...and don't be afraid to vent with us. The feelings you're expressing are valid and valued.

hello everyone, i have been reading a lot on what most jws would say apostate websites, but i have been asking myself, how much of this s true and considering a lot of these are run by ex jw elders, bethalites and one who was with the gb at one stage, overseers and the like.
i was an unbaptized publisher many years ago but never got to the point of baptism as i fell into sin, that pretty much ended my attending meetings again.
The jws have taught you to be very hard on yourself. You have a good life with your partner...enjoy it. Take your time, do your research. There is no hurry. Armageddon isn't coming.

i'm a middle aged man.
i dated a jw lady for 3 months ., we never had sex, just made out , half naked , well everything except underwear .
she has been a jw for 40 years ., was married to a jw but he committed adultery 13 years ago so they divorced .
I just reread this post. Forgive me, I had forgotten that you've already given her a lot of information to think about. It sounds as though she's been unhappy in her family life (her home sounds more like a prison) and it's a respite and relief for her to spend time with you. She really likes you, but she's needing you to drink the Kool-Aid with her. It would be nice if you both could leave the Kool-Aid out of it and just agree to disagree...but is that even possible for her?

my mother was one of the newly'anointed' we have all left.

im not a jw and never was but had a bad encounter with one , ie my gf was one .
anyway , i was wondering if fb pages are actually allowed , i thought the wt frowned upon them ?

I remember you from JWR. She's still seeing you, after all these months! Wow, she must be feeling very conflicted. Does she know about the ARC hearings, or the $4,000 per day fines the WTS is paying to avoid producing its records on pedophiles? These are not apostate lies; they are matters of public record. As a mother, I wonder what her thoughts would be on these issues. There's also a secular reporter, Trey Bundy, who has compiled a good deal of information about JW sexual abuse and policies. Again, none of this info is from apostate sources.

it was a shock despite us being divorced for over 40 years.
my son from that marriage phoned me with the news of sandra's death a couple of days ago, followed by my daughter.. sandra was one of 5 siblings.
the other 4 are still jw's.
Good for her!! Take that JWs!
